We are looking for motivated individuals to become part of our team and assist our organization to raise awareness and continue assisting human trafficking survivors.

Wellspring HQ

What you’ll be doing:

We are looking for an individual that will assist with the management of our social media accounts.

You will be responsible for creating new posts for our accounts promoting our volunteering opportunities, events and activities in order to create awareness of our cause and help increase our donations.

What you need:

 

You need to have knowledge in regard to the functionalities of social media platforms, different ways of raising our followers and creating more awareness. A minimum of 3-4 hours availability per week will be required.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be creating content for our social media posts and marketing material for different events. You will be researching and coordinating with other team members when required in order to ensure the validity of the content.

What you need:

You need to be Native or Near Native English and be able to dedicate content that will attract more people’s attention to our activities and our cause.  Previous experience in creating content isn’t a must. A minimum of 3-4 hours availability per week will be required.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be assisting with the marketing and advertising of our organization. You will be creating content, brainstorming with the rest of the team members and coming up with new ideas to create awareness and increasing the supporters, volunteering and donors of the organization.

What you need:

Experience and/or certification in the marketing field and a minimum of 3-4 hours availability per week.

Teaching Volunteer

We are looking for volunteers that posses the below skills and are willing to assist us in transferring these skills to our human trafficking survivors. How ever many hours a week and/or for how ever long you’re available, your help will be appreciated and valued by our team.

What you will be doing:

You will be teaching basic English to the survivor of human trafficking. This will assist them in communicating better with others and as a result will have more work opportunities.

What you need:

English knowledge on an advance level. Native level and/or professional qualifications are not required. You need to be patient, understanding and being sensitive to the survivors background.

What you will be doing:

You will be teaching basic Greek to the survivor of human trafficking. This will assist them in communicating better with locals and as a result will have more work opportunities.

What you need:

Greek knowledge on an advance level. Native level and/or professional qualifications are not required. You need to be patient, understanding and being sensitive to the survivors background.

What you will be doing:

You will be teaching sewing to the human trafficking survivors. The skills that will be passed to the survivors will help them have a basic understanding of how to sew in case needed.

What you need:

You will need sewing skills on an advance level – either using a sewing machine or manually.

You need to be patient, understanding and being sensitive to the survivors background.

What you’ll be doing.

You will be teaching basic mother skills to the human trafficking survivors. Teaching them basic mother skills such as changing diapers, feeding the baby and how to act in occasions where the baby might be ill – anything you were taught when you first became a mother. Whether the survivors have already become mothers or will do so in the future, having basic mother skills will help them raise their children, be ready do so in the future, or be more comfortable with the idea and decide whether they want to have kids.

What you need:

 

To be a mother and/or midwife. Be sensitive to the survivors background and be patient while passing your skills to them.

What you will be doing:

You will be teaching basic math skills to the human traffic survivors. The math skills required in order to facilitate your everyday life – mainly basic calculation skills.

What you need:

You need knowledge of basic mathematics and patience to pass this knowledge to the survivors – having in mind that their knowledge is limited to none. Patience and sensitivity to their background is always a must.

What you will be doing:

You will be teaching nutrition basics to the human trafficking survivors. As it is important to all of us, the survivors need to have an understanding of how to eat and when, in what portions and how this will affect their health positively.

What you need:

We do not necessarily require professional qualifications. An advance knowledge in nutrition gained via a Certification and/or continuous research would suffice for the first classes.

What you will be doing:

Providing fitness classes to the human trafficking survivors. A class of yoga/Pilates and/or any other fitness subject that would help the survivors remain active and healthy.

What do you need:

Certified fitness Instructor and/or experienced and confident to teach the human trafficking survivors. You need to have patience and sensitivity for their background as these are not regular individuals that seek to be active and healthy. You will need to assist the survivors to understand the importance of fitness in our lives and for our health.

What you will be doing:

You will be teaching basic computer skills to human trafficking survivors, such as using Excel, Word and navigating the internet. The skills required in order to be able to use the computer for basic things such as writing a letter on Word or building a table on Excel. In addition, how to search on the internet for information etc.

What you need:

You will require an intermediate level of Excel and Word at a minimum, knowledge of using the internet – using an email account etc. A professional certificate of any level in computers will be considered an advantage. Considering that the survivors in most cases have no computer skills so patience will be required.

What you will be doing:

You will be giving human trafficking survivors first aid lessons and teaching any other skills you consider useful and important, whether from simple health related questions to female reproductive questions. Patience and sensitivity to their backgrounds is always a must.

What you will be doing:

  • Teaching basic budgeting of money. What is a credit card. What is interest and how does it work.
  • What is credit. What happens when I buy something and pay it off in installments?
  • What is a CV. How to draft one.
  • How to present yourself for a job interview. What to wear for a job interview.
  • What is the effect of a criminal record on your life and future work.
  • What does being an Assylum Seeker mean.
  • What does being a Refugee mean.

What you need:

As the above are basic skills that are used in our every day lives, you do not need to have any specific qualifications in order to be able to teach this but just be willing to spend some time  with our human trafficking survivors and share your knowledge on any of the above subjects.

Customer Service

Serving customers, taking cash and providing customer service, connecting and interacting with the general public.

General Services

Sorting through donated items, pricing stock, working on window and shop displays. keeping the shop clean and well organised.
